Does your credit card come with a healthy lifestyle, eternal love and constant blue skies?
Unfortunately, that’s not how it works, and people know that. So, when re-branding re:member we took advantage of this. The concept is called It’s a credit card and the idea is to cut the standard credit card “access your dreams” fluff, with accompanying imagery of a man kayaking in a beautiful sunset. Instead, we focus on what re:member actually offers.
So, while others keep promising a dream, re:member promises the truth – as in all the smart and beneficial advantages you get with re:member’s financial solutions.
Launching It’s a credit card, we wanted to drive home re:member’s promise and nothing else. To catch people’s attention, we decided on doing that with humour by exaggerating stereotypical credit card communication that promises too much.
With meticulous planning and teamwork, we managed to produce a one-take tv-spot (see a behind the scenes video below), with all the glory of camera pans, tear-away clothes and children made out of cardboard. This video, along with shorter versions for Social Media, marked the start of the 360 launch campaign.
